There is great news for the Indian two-wheeler market. Wallace Suzuki has announced a reduction in the prices of its scooter and bike models to get the direct benefits of the recently introduced GST 2.0 tax policy. These price cuts will vary by model and may result in additional savings. This change will come into force nationwide from 22 September 2025.
Which models will get the most benefit?

Many popular scooters in the new price list such as Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street will be available cheaper by Rs 7-10 thousand. In the bike segment, premium models like Gixxer SF 250 and V-Strom SX will see a drop in price of Rs 15-18 thousand. This change is limited to entry-level scooters only, but also applies to the mid-size bike range.
What is GST 2.0 and how does it change prices?
Under GST 2.0, the tax slab on two-wheelers has been reduced from 28% to 18%. This will accelerate the growth of the auto sector and reduce the burden on the consumers. Lower Taxes = Lower Prices: Directly affected manufacturing and distribution costs and companies got an opportunity to reduce prices. Spare parts and accessories are cheaper: In the new policy, not only vehicles, but also the tax rate of parts will be reduced, which will reduce the maintenance cost in the long run.
Why is there a big opportunity for customers?
NEW PRICES APPLIED The easier it is to buy the better it will be.
- When EMI and Loan Burden: Falling prices will reduce both down payment and EMI.
- Sales Boost in Festive Season: October-November is the perfect time for the upcoming festivals as discounts and offers at dealerships can increase.
- Savings in maintenance: Cheaper spare parts mean that servicing costs will also come down in the years to come.
Market competition and potential impact

This price of Suzuki will increase the pressure on other brands like Honda, TVS and Hero. The race to provide affordable Das Scavenger features may begin. Auto analysts believe that this could lead to a 15-20% jump in two-wheeler sales. Especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, demand will increase rapidly.
