If your monthly electricity bill keeps going up, now is the time to rejoice. Together, the Central Government’s PM Surya Ghar Yojanan and the Chhattisgarh Government’s supplementary subsidy would not only make your home electrically self-sufficient, but it will also result in Renewable Energy Solutions and significant cost savings. The fantasy of producing your own electricity with a solar panel mounted on your home’s roof and making money from the sale of the extra electricity is about to come true.

Combined help from the Center and the State

Anybody can install solar panels under this program based on his home’s needs. However, only panels up to 3 kW SolarPower will be eligible for the Center and State subsidies. This initiative was already providing subsidies from the PM Surya Ghar Yojanan Central Government, but the Chhattisgarh Government has recently announced that it will support it and provide an extra subsidy of up to Rs 30,000. This pm surya ghar yojana registration implies that the cost of installing solar panels will be considerably lower.

Special arrangement of subsidy and loan

A three-kilowatt rooftop solar panel costs approximately Rs 1.80 lakh in total. Together, the federal and state governments are providing a Rs 1.08 lakh subsidy in this case. You will receive a 10-year, easy loan with 6% interest for the remaining Rs 72,000, with a monthly payment of just Rs 808. Installing a 1 or 2 kilowatt solar panel, for which there will be various amounts of subsidies available, is another option if your home is tiny.

Savings and earnings, both together

About 200 to 360 units of power will be generated each month when the solar panel is installed, which will not only meet the household’s needs but also provide a chance to make money by selling the extra electricity to the grid. In other words, you will now benefit from selling electricity rather than having to pay the bill. Consider how advantageous it is to have your own electricity and extra revenue from the remaining electricity in an EMI of just Rs 800 if your current bill is an average of Rs 1000 for 400 units.

Easy process and long term benefits

Customers can either take out a low-interest bank loan or pay the remaining 25% of the cost themselves under the PM Surya Ghar Yojanan. Since the solar panel can eliminate electricity expenses for years after installation, this plan is not just a way to save electricity but also a long-term, sustainable investment. Additionally, since solar energy is entirely pure and pollution-free, it is a significant environmental stride.
