Maruti Suzuki Victoris has made a strong entry in India’s SUV market in view of the ever-increasing demand. The SUV has a long wheelbase, which provides good legroom and headspace inside the cabin. Talking about the interior, the cabin is modern and tech-friendly. It gets features like large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, wireless charging and 360-degree camera. Ventilated seats and premium quality materials enhance comfort on long drives. The special thing is that the CNG variant has been fitted with a tank underbody so that the boot space is not affected.

Engine and mileage: an option for every need

Maruti has offered the Victoris in three powertrain options –

  • 1.5L Petrol Smart Hybrid: Which is great for daily city driving.
  • Strong Hybrid: Which gives excellent fuel efficiency and can also run in mild EV mode.
  • Petrol + CNG: Which is the best option for budget-conscious customers.

The company claims that the Strong Hybrid variant can deliver a mileage of around 27 kmpl, while the CNG variant achieves an efficiency of around 27 km/kg. These figures make it one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in this segment.

Victoris is second to none in terms of safety. It has received 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP. The car has 6 airbags, ABS, ESP, hill hold assist and level-2 ADAS features. Technologies like lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking make driving safer.

Price and competitors: Who will compete?

Ex-showroom price of Victoris starts from around ₹10.5 lakh. The price of the top variants goes up to Rs 17 lakh. Its main competitors in this price segment are Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Toyota Hyrider. But the Victoris emerges as an attractive package thanks to its hybrid option, excellent mileage and Maruti’s reliable service network.
