Flood threat in Himachal and Uttarakhand
Due to excessive rainfall, flash floods are also a hazard in many regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Flash floods are a “low to moderate” risk in Shimla and Sirmaur, but they have been expected to occur in the Uttarakhand districts of Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, and Uttarkashi. Following the recent floods in the Uttarkashi district’s Sukhi Top and Harsil districts, relief and rescue efforts persisted for a few days.

Due to the likelihood of a low-pressure system forming in the Bay of Bengal, Odisha is also projected to see severe rainfall through August 15.
Administration’s preparations and appeal

Telangana’s irrigation minister has directed staff to be more watchful of all dams, reservoirs, canals, and tanks. The Chief Engineer and District Collector should be notified right away of any crack or risk. In order to prevent any form of loss, the Chief Minister has also said explicitly that the protection of cattle and other pets must be guaranteed. The government has urged citizens to refrain from needless travel and to stay away from places with high traffic volumes altogether.
